Hearing the Bullet Zing Past our Heads!

Yesterday I wrote about hearing gun shots before dawn. Again this morning, I hear the shots as they ring out from the property next to us. I don't really worry too much as I know either the dad or the son is duck hunting and is using a shot gun, which is not powerful enough to reach our house. However it does remind me of a time that hubby and I were standing on our back porch and actually heard a bullet zing right past our heads! We quickly ran into the house and hubby jumped in his truck and drove next door. (This is the place on the other side of us.) Come to find out, the brother in law of our neighbor was out shooting turtles on their back pond with a high powered rifle! He was not familiar enough about guns to be doing so! The bullet ricocheted off the water and came right past our heads! Hubby had a few choice words for him and I doubt that the neighbor lets his brother in law use his rifle again!
