What a fussy Pup!

I’ve written about Pup and his love of water many times – how he loves to wade into the river and run around in circles biting at the water, how he adores galloping in circles through waterlogged reedbeds or leaping into stinky mud-filled ditches. Well guess what? This same fussy puppy does not like to walk through puddles on the pavement! It’s been raining heavily this morning and there are puddles everywhere – imagine how surprised I was to find Pup dragging behind trying to tiptoe around the edge of the water each time we came to a puddle! Even if I set an example by striding right through the middle he wouldn’t follow me. What a wuss! All rights reserved. © Text and image copyright Fleur 2016.

He'll have to get over that or he'll be dragging blind people around puddles and into rivers.

Luckily he won't go to a blind person, most likely to a family with an autistic child because he is extremely tolerant and long-suffering and well used to children.

Dogs can be funny. I hope that he can get over his "fear of puddles".

@Fleura that's funny. Usually to them water is water. I guess he is more discerning than the average pup.

I wonder what happened that the pup does not like the puddles on the sidewalk but he likes water to play in elsewhere?

I really don't know, we had him since he was tiny so he didn't have any bad experience. Maybe he just preferred the feel of soft wet mud to hard wet pavement?
