Was it chance or was it meant to be

Today my friend and I caught the train into the city. Mainly we went for her to buy something she had seen that was on special',' unfortunately however the store had run out of stock. We wandered aimlessly around the store and decided on afternoon tea. While we were there my son messaged me and when he heard where we were he gave us an order of a couple of things he would like. We decided to put our minds to fulfilling his request thus our journey and shopping would not be in vain. At the end of the day we had found the things my son needed, had bought a lovely leather purse for me and my friend also found something for her. We happily wandered back to our train and felt that our day had not been wasted after all.

Your son was lucky that you happened to be in the city, and I'm glad that your day was not wasted.

Yes, lucky son. The other thing is that what he he needed us to purchase, my friend was able to find quickly, Perhaps because she has 3 sons and knew exactly where we needed to go. The other thing is that we were able to send photos to him and him to us . Isn't technology a wonderfurl thing

@glenniah Technology certainly is wonderful, where would we be now without it?

Life is like that. Anything can happen. At the end of the day, you were adaptable and made the best of circumstances and still had a satisfying and productive day. Always think of ways to make the best of each day!

@glenniah Thanks! Did you ever hear the expression that we have to roll with the punches? The punches will come but if we can learn how to deal with what comes our way and make the most of it, we will be better off.

Happy to hear that the day was not wasted and you were able to buy the things your son wanted and you yourself found something and so did your friend.

I often run errands for others. Every now and then they call me after I have returned home.
