So ashamed that I did it in church!!

I clean a church for extra cash. The other day I did something that I should never have done. I am so ashamed! Someone had been there with muddy fingers. There were muddy smudges near the light switches and the computer area. I decided to wipe all the smudgy prints from the wall. I ended up with a bunch of really clean areas that made the rest of the wall look drab. Now, I just don't know what to do. I should never have done it, so ashamed that I did it in church.

Usually, they get church volunteers to paint the walls every few years. I think it is time again because it has not been done in a long time.

I'd try to turn it into an artwork, like a cloud-shaped clean area. Or a geometric shape.

It being a church, I'm sure you'll be forgiven for giving them a partially clean wall.

If you had not cleaned the muddy fingerprints you would have been neglecting your job which is worse than what you described.

Why should you feel ashamed? Maybe a major cleaning will be called for and the church will get a good top to bottom cleaning.

Oh goodness. I have cleaned a stain on a carpet so well that the rest of the carpet looked dirty. Clean a little every week?
