Photo taken by me – buses in Manchester

January 26, 2016 4:37pm CST
An extremely cold, windy, wet morning as I set out for day two of the warehousing course. The bus service was running well, but my two buses to the course centre were full of unruly children heading for local schools. I read a book on the first bus and actually went past my stop, having to walk back a few hundred yards to catch the second one. Much of the course work was about lifting and lifting and carrying stock, and we did some exercises transferring bottles of apple juice from one pallet to another. We also watched several short training films about the danger of back injuries and hernias. The weather had not improved for my journey home. Arthur Chappell
