Its been pouring guests on us.. some anticipated ,some just barge in and other give us very short notice.
All that I have been doing these past few days is to fetch, fend, clean and cook and repeat the process allover again.
The biggest dilemma for me is to cook in large quantities and cater too everyone's tastes and allergies.
Thank God its behind me and I am free to do my own stuff.. enjoying my peace and quite.
I do enjoy having them around but I do feel tired and worked up after a few days of having so many people to care for. Not having to worry what to cook for them is a big load off my shoulders.
Do you feel a similar relief after your guest have gone?

I haven't ever had a guest since we bought our house a couple of years ago.

Certainly! It is a big relief when they are gone and you are back to your normal relaxed world. As for me, I can tolerate guests coming for few hours during important occasions but not when they are coming to stay for days and then I have to cook according to their tastes and allergies. Oh no, that is burdensome. My siblings come and stay for some days but they are even the one doing things for me.

Oh so that's why you weren't here for days , my dear.
I hate it when there are lots of guests to entertain . And when that happens we just buy the foods . It's washing the dishes after that is tiring .

In our culture we are supposed to make a guest feel like royalty.. That wasn't thinking such saintly thoughts then.
