aka: How Rumours Get Started Sitting at a Tim Hortons (every Canadian and many Americans know this Coffee Shop franchise) I participated in an exchange. Since November, my father has his medications packaged in blister packs. Once a week they deliver a weeks supply. They usually arrive on Monday or Tuesday. Most of the time, they call to let us know they are on their way. After a weekend of self medicating for a severe backache, we were at the chiropractor around 10:00 AM. Leaving the chiropractor's office we headed to Tim Hortons for a coffee and a doughnut. We were just sitting down when my cellphone rang. It was the pharmacy. Could they deliver the Meds in about 20 minutes. Someone needs to be at home to sign for them. I told him we were not at home but in the neighbouring community. He asked if I was shopping. I told him we were enjoying a coffee at Timmies. His next question, which one? When I told him where we were, he told me to sit tight, he'd bring them to us at Tim Hortons. Sure enough, 5 minutes later, this smiling gentleman walks into the coffee shop singing out my name. Morley, Morley? I waved him over. He handed me a weeks worth of pills, I signed, and he was on his way. It's probably a good thing I am rarely in this particular Tim Hortons.

I think that I would have asked for another delivery time, and met them at home. There are too many nosey people who will go to great lengths to find out where you live if they are aware that you have prescription medication in your home.

We don't have that many Meds. If they tried to hit us up, the most valuable would be the Tlenol II with codeine. It would be more productive to follow the deliveryman.

Oh my, I would have told him I preferred to go to the pharmacy and pick up myself the pills.

@Morleyhunt I did not consider that problem, it was much better to wait him there. After all who cares about nosy people.

@LadyDuck I've learned to not let it bother me. If you want to judge me, try on my shoes, see if you feel the same way.

This saved both of us. Now we didn't have to stay home and wait for him. Going to the pharmacy would have meant yet another outing with an old man and a three year old.

Well, that is good customer service. Glad it all worked out, even though it may have been a tad embarrassing. At least you can laugh about it.

I think the only thing slightly embarrassing was when he walked in singing my name....not my fathers. It must be the way Morley sounds.
