beauty, in the eye of the lens

Every day I faithfully take a photograph with my camera, do some editing and upload the finished product to Instagram. I tag it with the prompt it was inspired by and the name of the group it comes from. I may get a couple of 'likes'. Sometimes I even get four or five. Once I got about seventeen ... heavens! I like to take and edit pictures but I don't think I'm a good photographer. I'd say I'm middling ... better than many, not as good as a lot. I definitely couldn't make money from it. So yesterday my inspiration was lacking, and my day-to-day activities made me struggle. I took a photo at bedtime and popped it onto Instagram. I didn't like it. I actually hated it. I was absolutely and utterly sure that it would get no likes, and this didn't fuss me. You can imagine my surprise when the photo garnered twenty-five 'likes' in just five minutes. Isn't it bizarre how we all see beauty in different ways? And yes, this is the photo, for the prompt 'simplicity'. *shrug*

I am many times surprised how things can catch up or nothing at all. You can never know, you have to try.

I love taking photos... but lack imagination for tags and titles.... most of them would say ... just because ... I like your photo....
