My odd supper

Japan
January 28, 2016 6:07am CST
After waiting at the physical therapist, and poking around in shops nearby for a bit, I was late getting home. I wasn't particularly hungry and did not want to cook. So, I put some cornflakes in a bowl, poured soy milk on them, and spread over the top some berry compote I had made (strawberries, blueberries and raspberries, no sugar). It was really good! It kind of reminded me of berry cobbler with milk. So now I had my bath and am going to bed with my cat beside me!

Your odd supper sounds sophisticated and delicious. I love cornflakes with soy milk, and your home made berry compote is the cherry on top of the cake. I WOULD eat that myself.

The next step would be putting walnuts on top, which I did consider!

If a restaurant sold it, they would name it "Healthy Berry Bowl" and make a mint off it!

I tend to go for a condensed soup or ordering out if I don't want to cook. Yours sounds moderately healthy and also delicious.

that was one thing we never could get used to, the soy milk, we tried so hard to find cow milk like we were used too, but never could, just stopped eating cereal, lol. Was certainly an experience.

I hope the cat didn't join you in the bath.

It's nice to have an easy supper from time to time. For us, it's usually eggs of some sort.

I usually go for eggs as well. I just felt too lazy to wash the pan last night. Actually, I need to get a new pan. My non-stick coating is now a stick-a-lot coating.

well it sounds healthy enough. It is one of the ways that you can get the healthy options you need.
