Bummer - No More One Hour Photo

It used to be I could take my film in and have it ready in one hour. Now that time has come and gone, no doubt due to the digital age. However, there are still people around, like me, who need to use a disposable camera.
Now it gets sent out and my photos of Pip and me in my sock monkey hat will be back in seven days.
I'll get a call from the pharmacy before then for my next refill of my medication.
It looks like I need to employ patience.
Have you needed to wait longer for something than you expected?
Thanks for reading.

Not many people do anymore. I have about seven more cameras that need developing - grandson graduations - two of them and some miscellaneous photos. I know one of them has some pics of a lunar eclipse and that happened years ago, not the recent ones. I think my youngest granddaughter is also on that one, so she was between four and six and she's twelve now and I won't be seeing her again anytime soon. She's the one that was adopted out of the family. My older son's daughter.

@Jessicalynnt It is sad, so if I can get all my cameras developed, I will have some great pictures. It will take about 7 days for the one I took in today that has Pip on them.

Oh wow not sure about film these days, I have my digital one printed within the one. I know Walmart does a hour service, but not sure about film.

@kevin1877uk There's a Wal-Mart near me. I go there all the time. It's where I do most of my shopping.

I am a patient person, so I can wait for a longer period of time when the expected day or time is postponed or delayed

@just4him unless the thing or person I am waiting for is unsure if he or it will come, then I can be as stingy as others too.

@ridingbet Me too. I don't mind waiting for something sure. Uncertainty drives me up the wall.

@fishtiger58 I'll find out, I need to go there today as I doubt I'll be going anywhere tomorrow, though my son does have school.

True and this is a silly reason to lose patience. The pictures are of Pip.

It's not just that I'm old fashioned. I would like to have a digital camera, but that isn't possible, so have to go with the disposable and getting it developed. By the way, when I took the camera in, they told me they don't send back the negatives, everything is on disk now. So no real pictures either.

I'm very impatient so don't like waiting for anything
As regards photos I think most places here have a thing where you give them your memory card and they'll print things out while you wait.
I don't know of anywhere that does the film developing anymore.
Maybe get a digital camera?...they're very cheap now.
If your phone has a camera you could even link it to a printer and print outpictures from your phone.

You would think in this we don't want to wait society, there would still be 1 hour photo's around. I guess digital knocked them out. I just assumed there were still some around. Hope the waiting goes by quickly for you and you enjoy your pictures. Have a blessed day.

There is a place called Palatte Plaza near me and they do it onsite in a couple of hours. Japanese people still love to give photos to everyone who is in the picture. They also have a machine you can hook up to your digital device and edit and print from that. I did that for when my granddaughter was born to send to my mother. Last week I needed passport photos taken and they did that too. A one-stop shop for all things photographic.
