Weekend Road Trip....

Stress as been a huge factor in my life these past few weeks. I have mentioned it a couple times in my previous posts. It seems to build up through the week and just weight on me so much by the time the weekend gets here. Before I hardly ever had free time on the weekend either. I was always pulled in many different directions on the weekends as well so it never seemed like I got a break. Well being that I have put my foot down and I am now taking every weekend off from now on, I am enjoying my first weekend with a road trip. My friend and I are going on a road trip. It won't be far and it will only be for the weekend, but it will be a much needed time away. We are going to a couple towns over to stay the night. And enjoy the towns amenities. Then the next morning we are going to continue on to larger town for some shopping and site seeing, as well as eating at some good restaurants that we don't have at our home town. Basically getting away from the stresses of home. This will be a much needed time away to relax. Do you go on road trips for enjoyment? Either near or far? What did you do on your last road trip?

That sounds an excellent idea. Sometimes you need to get right away to a new environment to get a proper break.

Hoping you have a wonderful time. Not been on a road trip for some time, not here in Plymouth never, but I need to get away. The weather is depressing to say the least. When I was there I didn't go far apart from two trips on the the zoo and back in the same day and the other to mount shasta and a overnight stay.

Well, I am hoping you can get away soon. Just the weather alone would make me want to get away.

I hope you enjoy your road trip and can relax as you hope. I haven't been on a road trip in many years, if ever.

@T_gray That's a huge step for you. Must have been the Packers hat that helped you talk to her. If you do come this way, be sure to let me know. My door is open.

I really want to head that way this summer. I actually ran into someone in the gas station who is from green bay and was passing through. We chatted for a minute (she had a Packers hat on and I had to say something to her) She highly recommended going that way. I was cool chatting with her

I love "road trips"! We don't take the as often as we used to. The last road trip we took, we went to Dallas and stayed at a nice hotel for the weekend. Ate at some really nice places and did little shopping. It was really a very relaxing time. That was in May, I think I may be due for another one soon! I'm glad you and your friend had such a great time!

I try to go on road trips as often as I can even if they aren't that far away. Just to get away for a little while.

@T_gray Sometimes, hubby and I will just go for a drive in the country to get away. It really does help relive stress!

@sgbrown Yes I used to do that all the time too. Not so much anymore though but it used to be my favorite thing. And to take pictures as well,

That sounds lovely! Putting in some of your me time and having fun! I hope you enjoy your mini road trip with your friend! I just went on a day trip with my parents + boyfriend yesterday. We ventured two hours away and just browsed around, shop, ate.

Have a good time. I personally do not like road trips, I prefer to just be able to be there without all the travel involved. Have not figured out how to eliminate the travel part though

With the way technology is going, that might happen before we know it
