El Nino is making a return to Southern California tomorrow. It is expected to be a wet weekend with 90% chance of rain. Let's see if the weatherman is correct as today was very bright and sunny. Have you noticed any changes due to El Nino? I have noticed much more pot holes on the road and the waves crash ashore much higher! Several beaches had to close down due the waves being higher than usually. Yesterday when I went hiking, I was surprised to see how close the water was to shore now. Literally the sand is replaced with all those rocks that washed in! And, when the water washes in with the rocks ~ it makes a beautiful noise though! Do you ever believe in the weatherman?

I will believe it when I see it. The last "threats" of rain haven't been as great as we thought it would be. A bunch of us would think "That's it???!" Yes, today was rather warm and sunny - it felt like being deep into spring. Hard to believe it would really be a wet weekend - but oh I would love for it to be true - we NEED that rain!

Yes! It is hard to believe it's going to rain tomorrow but sometimes the weatherman is a day delayed. Last time, they said rain and it didn't even rain. We do need the rain! Just not looking forward to those who can't drive in rain!

In spite of what people say, I've found the weatherman to be right about 80% of the time. I'm bummed this storm will be to the South of us, but happy for our Southern California neighbors.

@infatuatedbby I'm happy to hear that! Score one for the weatherman, even if the rain arrived a bit early.

Thanks! The photo was with an iPhone since I don't bring my camera hiking! I don't trust the weatherman either.

@infatuatedbby At least they seem to be more right there that here, I mean you have sunshine for most of the year well it did further north than you, It was like don't tell me sunshine again lol. Unlike the UK were it seems we don't have two days the same.

our El Nino is the dry spells. the wet season we term it as La Nina. I hope El Nino will not be so serious this year

In the Philippines it gets really dry and humid? Here for us the El Nino is the wet weather, total opposite. Hopefully no floods on the road!

@infatuatedbby well, i think that is how El Nino is described in your place. Mindanao is affected by extreme dry spells or El Nino, right now.
