Another Writing Site Bites the Dust

I have just found out that an article site I was quite active on last year, Persona Paper, will soon shut down . This isn't such a big surprise for me, as it was obvious that reaching the redemption threshold on Persona Paper was an extremely long process and I had actually stopped writing there several months ago due to the lack of financial perspectives, but still I can't stop feeling a little sad because that site allowed me to discover interesting people and read articles I truly enjoyed. Now that Persona Paper's demise is official, I want to move on towards other writing adventures, so my question is: Does anyone know any site like Persona Paper which allows people to post shorter articles and which has a decent earning rate?

You might as well stay in Mylot. At least you know that there is no limit to comments or discussion, and you are sure to get paid once you hit $10 a month.

That is a possibility I am thinking of; however, I prefer to be active on more sites, and myLot is a discussion site, while article writing site are different.

True ..the payment threshold is easier to reach with not much fuss.

If you find a place let me know because i have a long list of places but it seems they are all slowly going under one by one and they don't even pay that much and reaching the low redemptions seem impossible due to the lack of interaction and small amount of members.

I will definitely let you know if I find a good place to continue my writing adventure with better results. I won't stop searching until I find one!

I liked Persona Papers - rather sad that it is going but good that it is allowing a graceful evacuation

Yes, I appreciate Persona Paper owners for their correct attitude towards the site's users and I am sad that this writing adventure is over, but we have to go on and hope that new and better sites will emerge.

At least they are letting people know ahead of time. I'll have to hop over there and see if I want anything I placed on the site. I quit writing there before the demise of bubblews mostly because I don't have the extra time to be at more than one place at the same time.

Yes, unlike the Bubblews staff, who ended the site abruptly, the Persona Paper creators did the right thing and announced people in advance of the site's closing, giving them time to backup their works. I respect them for their attitude and I hope they will be more successful in their future initiatives.

It's sad they have gone. I've heard a lot of people here are affected. I don't know any other site than this one.

There are indeed people who had high expectations from Persona Paper, and I include myself in this category, but I had gotten used to the idea that I would get nothing from my efforts there for a long while, so its closure hasn't taken me by surprise. I'm sure new opportunities will emerge, we just need a little patience.

I've heard of a few sites, but I'm understandably a tad gunshy. For now, I'm sticking to myLot and my blogs.

Your reluctance to try those sites is understandable. As long as you have myLot and your blogs, you have plenty of space to express yourself. I guess I might also limit myself to myLot and the other sites I'm using now rather than try a new adventure with an uncertain outcome.

Hi Sebastian, Have you found out already a site like Persona Paper? I just typed in the search box article writing and I bumped on your post. I would love to earn more by submitting articles online. I hope someone can share if they have ideas.

At the moment I am posting my new articles on Blogjob, but as far as I know Blogjob stopped accepting new members a few month ago, which is a shame because it's a nice community there as well. I hope they will lift the restrictions one day and, of course, if I find another site worthy of trying I will let you know here.

I registered on persons papers when bubblews closed it's site but never write much there as I knew to reach payout there was difficult. No I don't write mylot is the only site where I work.

Some sites do not take in account the extra expensives they will have.

Well, I think there were better times for the site owners when they started it, but since it appears that keeping the site open was a time-consuming and not lucrative experience for them as well, I understand their decision to shut it down.

You want to find a site where you can post *shorter* articles? Shorter than what? Shorter than the one-sentence-posts on myLot?

Of course, the one-sentence posts that can be found on myLot have nothing to do with articles! What I'm looking for is a site which allows posts of, let's say, 100 words. That is my conception of a short article, and that's what I did on sites like Bubblews and Persona Paper. When I want to write longer posts I can choose between Blogjob and Expertscolumn. Both of them accept a minimum length of 300 words, if I remember well.

I do not know of any site to date. I only earned a good amount posting 1,000 or more words.
