Back to the city: stuffy nose and colds

My immune system is not what it was before chemo and I guess I´ll have to manage with what I have. But as soon as the bus entered my beloved home town, my nose became runny and then stuffy.
At the beach, the air was clean and the sky was blue. Here, in Santiago, we live in a hole of smog, no matter how much the authorities try to stop it. It is the result of a city with several millions of inhabitants and one that has too many cars.
For decades, chimneys have been banned and industries have had to grange their source of energy for cleaner ones. Still, the air is foul as our city is in a hole between 2 chains of mountains.
There has been a big change in our climate since I was small. I would blame it mostly in the amount of cars and the enormous growth of the city.
Do you have these problems where you live?

@marguicha Yes, it is polluted and this year it's even worse because it does not rain.

The way the industries were operated were changed a long time ago here, but that was not enough. The city is too big andit is not placed where fumes can flow.
