So do you think living on a farm is cool? I think it is cool... My sister knows this family that has 8 kids and they have a farm with a cow, chickens, goats, rabbits, and they do everything on this farm. They have everything making their own milk and eggs. They even raise their own fish to sale. It is very neat alot of work but you have to have the land and be cut out for the work to do that type of lifestyle of living. Do any of you have farms? Do you know anyone with farms? Do you wish you had a farm?

My granddad had a farm and some of my uncles too. That kind of life was not for me at all.

I used to work on a farm in the summers when I was young. It was hard work but I loved it.

We have raised our own sheep and cows for meat. I think the cows and chicken produce the milk and eggs.

I have lived on a farm and I don't miss it. We had laying hens, beef cattle and grain. I do live in the country and have a big garden but a farm I don't wish for.

I've never lived on a farm but as a kid I worked on one. It was a mixture of dairy, corn and chicken eggs. I did all sorts of jobs there as a 14 year old, from moving hay bales in a tractor to helping out when the cows went to Gloucester cattle market. I enjoyed it but looking back can also see farming is hard work and more of a lifestyle than a job. If someone offered me a farm job now with accommodation I'd take it although wouldn't work on a battery hen farm again as I disagree with it now.

For sure the older you get the more you realize the harder the work it is and you want to enjoy life really

simple living, no stress, no hurry, there's time to do for anything, time to feed the animals, time to harvest fruits, time to eat and rest and siesta,... i experienced this during my childhood, going to my uncle's farm during weekend. it's nice to have one.
