What are your thoughts about the imminent shutdown of Persona Paper?

After logging on to Persona Paper this morning, I learned from the owner of the site that Persona Paper will be closing due to lack of ad revenue to pay its writers. I have been blogging on Persona Paper for just over a year and fortunately received my first pay out of $20 about two weeks ago. The site is still not sure which members who have already just cashed out or are close to cashing out will receive their money. This will depend on the amount of ad revenue Persona Paper receives in February. What do you think about Persona Paper shutting down. It certainly isn't the first site to recently fold.

I am sad, I was no more active there, I joined in 2014 and I appreciated the attitude of the owners. This is the 3rd site for which I wrote that is shutting down, the first has been Squidoo, followed by Bubblews and now Persona, I forgot CGP Gallery, but they were cheaters.

sad that they are going. It is a lovely site though always rather slow to earn and share traffic on - I'll miss it

@pauliek Hello,Paulie,I knew this was going to happen.When the site owners are absent and never respond,we have to expect this.Not forgetting they did pay who reached pay out.You know what a strain it is to reach that pay out of $20 there.Hope you have a good time here.

I was never really that active on Persona Paper and had never reached payout, in fact. But I'm still quite sad that it is planning to shut down. I think the flaw is in the payment rate. It's just far too high and wasn't in line with the revenue that the site is earning.

@pauliek I agree. The payment rate is already quite low compared to Bubblews. I think Bubblews spoil it for others. People are expecting to get paid a high rate. I've been writing online for quite a few years before joining Bubblews and I know how difficult it is to earn online writing for other websites. Even with your own website, it's difficult to earn.

If the payment rate had been any lower, I don't think people would have joined PP.
