What's the Rush

Do you ever feel coerced by the commercials you see on television? How many times in one hour do you see: Rush, time is limited, call now! Call in the next six minutes and you will also get something free and wait, they'll double your order. What's the rush? The rush is because they don't want you to think about the money you're about to spend or the product they're trying to sell you, and wait they even show the number of callers left before supplies run out. Funny, I've seen those commercials over and over and given the same numbers and same time limits, so to me there is no rush for anything. Keep your hands off your wallets and your credit cards in their slots and just let the ad go in one ear and out the other. I promise you this time you can do that and no one - except the person wanting to sell you their product - will mind. So what's the rush? There isn't any. The offer will still be there the next time you turn on your TV set. It won't go away. You have plenty of time to research the product to see if it's right for you. I have a feeling you really don't need the product they are so insistive that you do. And you certainly don't need two of them. What are you waiting for? Go ahead research it and see what you find. I understand from one post that Wen isn't all it claims to be. I'm certain you'll find it about the same for all the others as well. They only want your money, any way they can, because after all time is limited. Thanks for reading.

In every country of the world you see those commercial. When I am watching TV I do nothing, I am relaxing and I never rush. An impulse purchase is never a good purchase.

@just4him I agree, it's better to think twice before buying something.

True. There is always something that you will regret when doing something like that.

Caller ID most likely, and the customer service rep would be taking down your info.

I have to admit the Wen commercial makes me want to try it, but I am just way to cheap to let loose of my money, now if they want to send it to me free. That would be a different story.

@boiboing Stargate SG-1 - I have the entire season on DVD but it comes on TV at 9 for two hours, and then there's Once Upon a Time, which starts up again March 6. I'm anxiously waiting on that one.

I avoid it if possible. However, there are two shows I watch on regular television, though I could watch it on DVD since I have the entire series, I just like watching it when its on. The other show starts up again next month and I'm anxiously awaiting its start up.

The only time I don't hate them is the Super Bowl commercials.
