Already getting my tax refund back

That just made my day. Filed my taxes last Friday (January 29th) and the IRS says I'll have them this Friday, exactly a week after I filed. Sometimes I could almost like the government...almost...

Every single US person that files taxes always gets some back Does anyone not get a refund? I've never had one

Those that aren't getting the refund are less likely to boast that they have to pay in.

@smartdesigns we have to apply to the tax office. With our PAYE system tax refunds aren't given many times.

Some people don't get a refund, they have to pay more. Some people have to wait 6-8 weeks (or more) to get their refund.

I expect mine in a couple of days! Had to pay $1.00 to State this year so getting nothing back from State.

I'm getting about half of what I paid in to Illinois, but they aren't issuing refunds until March. Got all of my fed taxes back.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Illinois says they are paying later to have time to catch people cheating, but everyone knows the real reason is they're broke...

I e-file, which the site says can take three weeks to process, it's normally several weeks longer if you mail them in.
