Unless you were a kid in the 1960's, chances are you loved the Twilight Zone . Of course , the shows were in black and white, but when you heard Rod Serling, you just knew there was something eery and strange about to happen .
One of my favorite episodes was when humans were thrilled to be invited to a distant planet by aliens until they decoded what they thought was a visitors' welcome manual (called "To serve Man") was actually a cook book !
Did you ever see the one about a woman who was driving across country by herself and kept seeing a scary hitchhiker ? She finally found out he was the death angel who had been trying to help her see she had died days before.
I love that the networks here tend to run Twilight Zone marathons during holidays . I get my obsession satisfied for a while !

we watched that a lot when we were kids, yes in black and white T.V.I also remember that there was another show similar to it " One step beyond" that almost ran on a similar time here. Twilight zone was really great, it would get you pondering after you watch it

I remember One Step Beyond! It was similar to Twilight Zone, but not quite as good.

Do you remember the episode of One step beyond where some people were looking in a large mirror overlooking a jagged coast line and seeing ghosts in the mirror? I was afraid to look in a mirror at night for months!

@1creekgirl Yes I am, when there is nothing interesting to watch at the TV, I get some episodes and watch them.

I definitely remember watching the Twilight Zone as a kid. And those shows have held up well these many decades later. I do remember both the episodes you mention, and many others as well.

It's a shame there aren't more shows now like Twilight Zone.

@1creekgirl you are very right. I remember years ago when they did try to do a remake of the twilight zone. It didn't go so well. I thought the shows weren't that bad. But I think it might have only went for one or 2 seasons.
