What's On The Agenda?

That was something that I always took care of the night before. I always made a list or agenda, before I went to bed, so that I would know exactly what I needed to take care of the next day. That was when I was running my own business out of my home. Now, I'm retired and although I still make a list at night, its a very SHORT list. Tomorrow however, I do have to make some pepperoni rolls for the Super Bowl party that my son is sponsoring here at our house. We will have all the family over for the evening, about 16 people. My oldest son and his wife arrived this afternoon about 3:30 PM from North Carolina and will be staying until Monday afternoon. We spent this evening looking at their videos and photos from their trip to Jamaica a couple weeks ago. They were able to hook up their camera to the big screen TV. It was great to watch that way. They had a really nice time at the resort. He went snorkeling and some of the video included underwater segments. There was one fish, in particular, with black stripes, that he said was named "sergeant major." There were dozens of those swimming around and a very blue fish too. It looked almost iridescent. While we were being buried in snow here in Virginia, they were swimming in the pool and laying in the sun in Jamaica. My son earned this FREE trip with his sales efforts, like I used to do with my jewelry sales. I earned over 30 FREE trips. His company paid for the trip, just like my company did. This is his third year, earning the trip. He had to be in the "top four" in sales in the USA to earn it. I'm real proud of him. He probably inherited those selling skills from me. LOL Anyway, we should have a good time tomorrow, eating all the food that everyone is bringing and preparing, and I'm sure we will enjoy the game too. I hope you have a very nice day too, whether you will be watching the Super Bowl or doing something else. Not everyone likes football.

How lovely that you have guests for the whole weekend. We hook up cameras etc so we can watch photos on the big screen. It makes a lot of difference.

Yes, its so nice to be able to hook up the phone to the TV and see the videos and photos as big as life. We thoroughly enjoyed it. We are planning to have a video and photo evening soon and show other photos. My youngest son has quite a bit of video that no one has seen of some of his adventures. And my daughter too. I stopped traveling extensively before I even had a phone that would take videos, so I have nothing to contribute although I've been to 25 different countries and most of the United States. I wish that I did have videos. I do have pictures but not sure HOW to show those. I've been working on some photo albums and making copies of lots of my photos. My primary project is putting together pictures of my family tree. I actually have a picture of my mother's grandfather, that must have been taken in the late 1800s. We are trying to figure out when it might have been taken.

@IreneVincent Are you scanning your old photos? That often works well and minor blemishes aren't that hard to correct. What a shame you don't have more records.

@JudyEv I really don't know how to scan my old photos. I HAD a scanner on my copying machine but the light burned out. AND I have an old scanner I pulled out recently but I'm not sure how to use it anymore. I had put it away when I got the new printer and don't know where the instructions are. My son or grandson could no doubt help me, but I'm always asking them to do something for me. Like right now, my TV is on the blink. Hopefully, my son can be here when the cable guy comes tomorrow. Scan them with what and after I scan them how do I get them somewhere else. That is my dilemma.
