Pip's Last Day

I got the pictures back today from Walgreen's and thought I would share a picture with you. I just got finished cropping them for the best picture possible. I have to say they turned out pretty good. There were a couple that didn't, basically when I forgot to use flash. So I'm going to start with this one of me and Pip. I'll show others in comments. Thanks for reading.

I am glad that you got your photos back, this one is certainly a good one. I can really see the heart break in your face, are you getting along any better yet? It took me years to grieve the loss of our beloved dog and I hope that your heart doesn't take that long to heal.

@just4him I know we went thru that. We had a dog put down in late June one year and every time we came home that summer we looked for him. Then in October we got a new puppy, we were not ready yet. I hope that you give yourself the time to grieve Pip.

@Juliaacv I won't be getting another dog very soon, not that I don't want to, but my housing situation is too iffy at the moment.

It helps to have the pictures and I picked up her ashes and paw cast a few days ago. I still look for her to be there when I go somewhere or come home.

@whiteream I plan on getting another dog one day, if my housing situation allows me. That's the only thing I'm waiting on at the moment.

@valmnz Emptiness doesn't even cover it. I used to take her everywhere with me, and when I went to Wal-Mart last night I expected to see her in the back seat when I put in the few things I bought. It was so strange. So was the shrill yip I heard this morning when I put the seat back in the car as I got in before going to church. It sounded so much like she was back there, and something happened when I put the seat back. I almost looked back at her to see what happened.

I went through all the photos first then came up back to respond. Although all of them are good shots but the one in the discussion was my absolute favorite. It got me all choked up. It was an emotional moment shared that touched me.....
