A Small House Fire

We had an excitement a couple of nights ago in y boy friend's neighborhood. It was your usual cold, winter night and we are just pulling in the driveway coming from our respective gym and fitness class. Suddenly we heard and saw fire trucks coming towards his block, and stopping halfway down the end. Curiosity got the better of us, and we set on foot to see what's up. According to other bystanders, there was a fire and we grab blankets just in case some people would need it. When we get there, the fire is already out and everything is clear. Thank goodness that it was just a small fire and nobody was hurt. We found out that somebody fell asleep with a space heater on. It overheated or shorted, and somehow it caused electrical fire which caught on the fabrics in the bedroom. Since that incident, I became more paranoid about space heaters. I have one under my work desk, and another at my house. I make sure that it's not only turned off when I leave, but I pull the plug.

I'm glad it wasn't more serious. House fires seem to start very easily sometimes.

It would have been terrible but I'm glad that the accident was taken cared of.
