Hello Lotters, I remember years back when my dog jolen went missing two years ago, only to find out she jumped to another house while chasing some cats. the corridors on the second floor were wide open back then, thinking she wouldn't run on the roof, proved me wrong. Now, my pluffy had grown to the point of chasing anything he finds or doesn't belong in his little territory. one time, he was up and kept barking, turns out there's a cat who crossed that responded by hissing him. He only stop because I went up, and the cat got way. Because of that I sealed the terrace so that he wouldn't make contact with them, not to mention he dump there relentlessly. I use to reunite those two on the terrace but the female isn't interested in playing with him anymore, though always excited to see him at first. I don't see dogs having puppies in the future, as she won't let him.

My friend's dog is afraid of her cat because the cat bullies him. But then the dog chases other cats, because he likes to bully them. That's a dog thing, right?

Hello @Tierkreisze must be respect to territory since cats are territorial or something. I've seen it in the youtube videos were cats were obviously scare theri dog friends and the dogs can't get in the cats way, sometimes even eats their food.

@Tierkreisze I used to have a male but never bullied my female dog. in fact, they used to sleep together until i separated them, they became enemies. my cat is no longer with me, but my dog has since bullied my youngest dog. Hahaha no wonder that dog will FOREVER be afraid of her cat, it was an instilled discipline since he was puppy

@Letranknight2015 That must be a really funny thing to watch. Hahaha. My friend said that her cat even bullied her dog even while he was still a puppy.

My dogs get along with cats just fine but I don't really know what they would do with a cat out in the yard. My smaller dog chases bunnies on the other side of the fence.

He haven't experienced being clawed in the face yet. My neighbor's dog is afraid of my cat because she unleashes her inner Wolverine when dogs try to befriend her.

It only takes a few seconds . Sounds like he is very territorial most likely from not being neutered.

LOL that is funny that when your dog was missing she had jumped across the terrace to the neighbors. I would be scared myself doing that across a two story building. I had a dog many years ago but I find they are too much care so I only have had cats since then. I do not intend to get any more dogs and possibly no more animals at all after this old cat passes on someday.
