I received a Fitbit Flex from my husband for Christmas 2013 and have worn it daily since then. I've enjoyed my flex but really wanted to be able to track stairs as well, especially since we moved in to a two story home. About a month ago I saw that Best Buy had the Charge on sale for under $100 and decided to make the switch and I'm really glad that I did. One of the things that I really like about my Charge is that not only does it track my steps, stairs, miles I've walked and calories burned it also has a watch on it. I've missed wearing a watch and am glad to be able to again. Fitbit is a wonderful pedometer type of device that you wear around your wrist and can track online or on your phone or both. Do you pay attention to how many steps you are taking? It looks large in the photo but it really isn't that big and I'm used to wearing it 24 / 7 and feel lost without it on my wrist.

I prefer a waist band pedometer. I have never had a fitbit but they are all the rage.

They are very popular that is for sure. I've had a few difficulties with them at times but they seem to fit my life pretty well. I carried an Omron for a long time...I do like to track my steps. With my waist size it would pop off too easily so I carried mine in my pocket.

@kamel622 I had the fitbit bob that hung on your belt. Too easy to lose, and sure enough I lost it at the airport.

@PatttiN I like having it on my wrist and the type of clasp it uses makes it harder to just fall off (fingers crossed) I like that on the Charge you can see your numbers whenever you want as well with just a tap on it. Ugh, sorry you lost yours Patti...I know I would too if I had it on my waistband.

I don't have a fitbit but many of my family members do and they love them. I have a wrist pedometer/watch which I got on Amazon that tracks my steps so that's good enough for me right now. Every day I try to increase my steps but I'm nowhere near the recommended 10,000...do you reach that or exceed it every day?

Sadly no. I did better for a while when my daughter would come over at 5:30 a.m. and we would walk but the last several months there has been so many changes going on that we haven't been able to do. We will get back to it at some point soon and that will help. I do try to add to my steps and often just stand and march in place but I miss the mark a lot of days. I know I would walk far less if I didn't have the fitbit on me so I'll continue wearing it and tracking. Thanks so much for stopping by...make it a great day...kath

I've never kept count of the steps I take. Though it is good you found something that suits you and gives you all the information you need.

I like that it pushes me to get up and move more. Since retiring I can get quite lazy if I'm not careful. Thanks for stopping by...make it a great day..kath
