Dentists in my country are not included in any health insurance. I wish they did. As we grow old, teeth grow old too. But not only old 70 years old. Once, when I told a dentist that my teeth were too bad for my age (I was around 30 at the moment) he replied that cavemen died when they were 15 and teeth were not meant to last longer than that
.
Dentists are expensive in my country. Today I had to tell him that as I was retired, I would have to pay in installments. Fortunatly he agreed.
Every now and then, there are campaigns from the government to take care of dental health. But they usually mean to help people who are beyond normal help. I am glad that a 17 year girl from the country can get a dental plaque with the aid of the government. What is absurd is that noone cared for her so that she did not lose her teeth at that young age.
I don“t know how it is in other countries. Here, little by little, things are being done. But there is a lot to do yet.

I get paid for all medical expenses through a scheme that my husband's office had - kind of a group insurance. I do nothing but just spend and claim reimbursement.

Now the government is helping a dentist check at a certain age. I hope that will keep people from losing teeth at an early age.

My husband and I do not have any health insurance that covers dental expenses. I have had upper dentures since I was almost 23 years old.

It is a shame that health insurance does not help with dentists as it is much too expensive for a normal budget. Then we leave the destist for another time and it is worse as the tooth cannot be saved.
