Happy Valentine's Day (or Happy Sunday to those who don't do Valentines)

I am feeling so very blessed and loved today, as always.
We went out for the day yesterday. Well, I say for the day, it was a couple of hours. Not the most exciting of days but it was lovely.
D and Mini got their hair cut. D was going anyway so he suggested getting them both done, and he took Mini in there while I went to get D's Valentine's presents.
Last year, D and I bought each other the same thing (which was a big box/tube of Love Hearts). This time, we'd not really thought about it. Last year was our first Valentine's Day together.
I knew what I wanted to get him. Nothing particularly romantic, though. I bought him some trainers. He needed new ones and, as I said to him, I would rather spend the money on them as he needed them than get him some useless thing just for the sake of it.
After D and Mini had had their hair cut, we went for lunch. I'd suggested to Mini that we might do that but I'd have to check with D, then D suggested it before I did. So we went for lunch. D chose where we went. Mini and I had been there before but D hadn't. The meals were OK. They enjoyed theirs, but I didn't enjoy mine so much. I had lemon and pepper chicken. I couldn't taste any lemon or pepper, the chicken was over-cooked and chewy, and there was some weird-tasting sauce in the vegetables. The vegetables also consisted of a few red and green peppers (over-cooked and I couldn't taste them because of the weird sauce) and what seemed like an entire onion. I don't like onion anyway but I'll eat it if it's just a bit but this was way too much. It was a nice atmosphere and good service though. D had a cheese burger, and Mini had a chicken and pepperoni pannini. They each left some of theirs because there was a lot there, and they don't have big appetites.
Once we got back from town, D and Mini watched Kung Fu Panda and Kung Fu Panda 2. I watched the first one but I think I was drifting in and out of sleep during the second.
I came home for a bit so that I could have a bath and get Mini ready to go to his dad. Then dropped him off and went back to D's. I was planning on studying but I was really tired and not feeling too good so D told me to have a rest first. I did. He said to have an hour on the settee but, after an hour, he asked if I wanted to study or sleep, and I slept some more. After about 2 hours (or maybe more), D woke me to put me to bed! He's very good at looking after me.
This morning, I was still feeling a bit poorly. Just tired, aching and full of cold. Hopefully it is just a cold, and I'll be over it quickly.
I did get some study done but I'd left my glasses at home so I had to limit the time I spent reading. I'll get some more done later, I think.
I gave D his Valentine's things. A pair of black trainers, and two pairs of underwear - a Batman pair and a Superman pair! I wanted to get him some Batman trainers, as he'd been talking about getting himself some, but they only had kid's sizes. I thought he'd prefer plain ones anyway, so they'd be smart and he could wear them with anything. I couldn't take the price off before I gave them to him so I told him not to look. I think he did look though. He told me off for spending too much on him. I reminded him that he's only going to get a packet of Rolos when it's his birthday! Of course, I'll probably spoil him then too. As we went away for his birthday last year, and I spoilt him a lot (with a Doctor Who Symphonica concert, a day out at Cardiff Castle, and a visit to the Doctor Who Experience, as well as a ring - which will, eventually, be an engagement ring) he said I wasn't to do it again so I said I'd just get him a packet of Rolos next time. :)
He said he's going to get me something for Valentine's Day but he'd forgotten it was coming up. He spoils me anyway, with his cuddles and soppines, and everything. He really is awesome.
I've been in touch with his daughter. I don't know if or when she'll get my message, but I'm hoping to arrange for us to see her. I've suggested she comes up on D's birthday, or we'll go down to her. I've asked D when K's coming up but he said he didn't think it would be for a while as she's got a lot on and she's saving up to go to America later in the year. I did tell D that, if he wants to go down to see his daughter, he only has to ask. And I want to see her anyway. So, hopefully, that can be arranged.
Now, I'm just faffing and not doing much. I will get some more study done later, and maybe do a bit tomorrow. Apart from that, I haven't got many plans for the week. Tuesday, Mini has an appointment, Wednesday, the boys will finally get to meet D's parents, and Thursday, we're taking Mini and his friend out for the day. I'll need to remind Midi about it and see if he wants to come and/or if he wants to see his friends.
That's all from me for now. I'll try and do a bit more interacting, reading and commenting on other posts next time I'm on here.
