If you don't know what a Bambi Hunt is, don't worry, there are plenty of people who don't know about it. It started as a joke amongst hunters who said they wished there was a way they could 'hunt' women the way they do deer and wild boar. That was how it all started but thankfully the initial fervor of it receded from the headlines; it's still there but it isn't shocking enough to make the news these days.
I have a passion for word games, Scrabble and Words With Friends are two of my favorites but Boggle is something I will never pass on. When I started playing the online version through Facebook I liked the format of it but there is a lag so you have to open a new browser window every so often if you are leaving one open to see new moves from other players.
It never fails that someone tries to start a conversation with me; I am not there to pick up people or have some lame online romance (yes, you will get some severe clingers there so be forewarned). I just want to take my tiles, make words and beat the weekly goal.
No matter what time I play, if I choose to start a new game with a random player there's a pretty goof chance it's going to be a guy and he's going to start chatting me up. If you try to tell them politely that you are just there to play the game they think you are kidding and when you tell them repeatedly they see it as a slam to their manhood and end the game. Whatever, another win for me.
At any given time I have 40 to 50 game boards going; not everyone plays every day but there are some that play when they are commuting to and from work, on their lunch break or when they are killing time in the afternoon. I hate just sitting there waiting for someone to move so I start a couple more games.
Even though it's free and relatively glitch free, the lag can be frustrating. If you are someone that multi-tasks and has other windows or browsers open you are going to notice that everything slows down a little when you are playing WWF. I wish there was a way to have a banner message saying "I'm just here to play, not to chat, cheat or converse". Moreover, why there isn't a feature to block chat is beyond me.
Do you play any online word games?
How do you tell someone you aren't into chatting?
What is your favorite board game?

I love Scrabble but haven't played Boggle. Have you played Upwords? I'd love to find an online site for that. Perhaps there is one but I haven't looked yet. And it's a shame some can't just play the game and be happy with that.
