Expect The Unexpected

Sometimes we expect events to turn out one way and we’re completely surprised that they actually are very different from what we thought they would be. For example: You might be about to meet someone for the first time and you have heard various things about this person that has caused you to form an opinion of them, but when you actually met them and got to know them, they were nothing like you expected them to be. Also, sometimes, first impressions can be very deceiving. I remember that a friend once told me that when she first saw me at a meeting, she thought that I was arrogant and unfriendly, but as she got to know me, she realized that she was completely wrong. I asked her “Why” she had formed that first impression and she said that I had on this beautiful white coat, (it was fake fur) and that my hair was styled perfectly and I walked in the room with my nose in the air. I was actually just looking for a place to sit. And to be honest, I almost always choose a seat in the back of the room, so as not to call attention to myself. I always remember what Jesus said at Luke 14:7-11 Have you ever misjudged someone by your first impression of them or by what someone else has said about them?

At the beginning of any meeting/relationship, first impressions are all we have. It's good if we can try to hold off on any firm opinions until we've had a chance to know more.

What you said is very true. It's important to get to know someone before you make up your mind about them.

It's best to not form opinions about someone too quickly, but sometimes we know right away what a person is like.

Sometimes we really get the exact opposite of what we are expecting. For first impressions, we should not judge a book by its cover but sometimes being human, we have a tendency to do so.

I agree. We should not judge someone too quickly even though sometimes we have the tendency to do that.
