They say that nothing beats you down when you are trying to reach your weight loss goal than stepping on the scale and not having the desired outcome. Most of the people who have been successful in this say the same thing – quit looking at the scales and using it as a measure of progress. There are lots of factors why your weight stays the same even after eating healthier and working out for some time. One is you develop muscles, and muscles have weight. Another is water retention at the time that you weigh yourself. Still, there are those who went down sizes lower and yet gained more weight. I remember at one point I weighed 122 pounds but I have this huge midsection that I cannot even sit without having multiple folds on my tummy. Now, with an unknown weight, I can see that my clothes fit a little better and that my midsection does not feel us juggly as before.

Good advice but I must admit I don't follow it. Others say to weigh once a week. It can be disappointing when the scales don't alter.

I hear you. It was tough but I do not want to cause any disruption in my focus by knowing there is no change.
