The Talent Show

My daughter and I like to go to talent shows and concerts that are done locally. Sometimes at the schools or the library, either FREE or in this case $5. It was really VERY nice. We enjoyed it. It was actually a Fund Raiser to send the school’s singing group to larger venues and contests. First half of the show, featured some of the teachers and alumni students, a couple of which have made a career of their musical talents and came especially to help the singing group. There was a ventriloquist. He was GOOD. Very funny. Then there were several singers and a few who played the piano. There was also a 3-piece band who sang and two young male dancers who were alumni. They were REALLY good. The second half of the show, featured the singing group. There were 29 singers in all, who sang several songs together and then broke into smaller groups who sang separately. The girls were all dressed alike in very pretty dresses and the boys in matching suits. They were really quite good and we enjoyed the show. It was about two hours. I was home by 9:30PM and watched the end of “American Idol.” Now, it’s 2AM and I had better go to bed. I have that eye appointment tomorrow at 1:30 in the afternoon. How is your week progressing?

Talent quests sometimes feature some quite remarkable acts. There is a lot of talent out there. Glad you enjoyed the night.

Yes, my daughter tries to keep up with all the local events that we can attend. We have seen quite a few talented persons performing. And, as I mentioned the "price is right," usually.
