Had hibachi last night!

When I got home from work, my husband told me the kids didn't want what we were planning to cook for dinner. They wanted to go to a chinese buffet. Well the food at the buffet isn't all that great, it's not bad, but it's not great. I was in the mood for something different, something exciting.. Eventually I decided on hibachi. We'd never done it before and I've been wanting to try it. If you've never been, hibachi is where you sit at a table that has a grill built in, and you watch them cook for food in front of you. The chef also does some fun little tricks. First they made a huge fire on the grill that you could feel across the room. Then they started cooking the food and doing some funny little tricks with the spatula. They flipped food off the spatula and into people's mouths. It was a lot of fun! I'm glad we got to try it. The food was allright.. it was a basic stir fry type meal made with fresh foods.. much better quality than a chinese buffet... but the point of hibachi is the show! I'm glad we got to try it!
