Fruiquet

Do you prefer a bouquet of roses or mums or sunflowers or tulips? Or would you prefer something you could eat as a birthday present? Yesterday was our President's birthday. We surprised her. We decorated her room with balloons, ribbons, and our group pictures. We also got hera fruit bouquet, fruiquet for short. It is beautiful and looks yummy too. The bouquet has pineapples, melons, apples, and grapes. She treated us to a Japanese restaurant for lunch. We surprised her again with three mini cakes for her candle blowing. Do you have fruiquets in your place too?

I don't think I've seen these here but I don't move in those sorts of circles any more - just go to the supermarket mostly, not to speciality shops. I'd love a 'fruiquet' for a gift. What a great word!

I've never received or seen a fruit arrangement other than in pictures. I don't think that I'd like one over a bouquet of flowers, but it would also depend on who was giving it to me. It sounds like you had a great day together at work.

I love Japanese food. We had gyoza (like a fried dumpling), california maki ( Japanese rice roll with mango and cucumber inside), shrimp and vegetables tempura (battered and fried shrip, sweet potatoes). Yum!

I can imagine how happy your boss was when she received your gifts and cake surprise. I would prefer edible gifts than flowers any day.

@Scindhia I like watermelon, grapes, oranges and apples. But a day could pass without me eating fruits.

I don't think we have them here. It depends on the time of year as to which bouquet I would prefer. Since my birthday is in May, on my birthday I would prefer a bouquet of Tulips!

I think, we don't have that here in our place, I love the idea of fruiquets, a very healthy gift. Psst, we don't have that here because we have plenty of fresh fruits here and I think if someone will make this kind of business, she/he may end up a loss.

I believe those are fruit baskets for the male guests and still flowers for the ladies. Would be lovely to receive a fruiquet too.
