The things I learn, The things I don't want to learn. A friend post a photograph of herself 'enjoying' a cup of Kovi Luwak, in Malaysia. Her comment stated, if she didn't think about where it came from, it tasted very good. The hunt was on. A quick Google search brought me a definition. I'm not sure I wanted to know.....I'm sure I won't be trying this voluntarily.

Maybe yes, but I don't think things like this are generally in my diet. Cleaning it out of feces seems repulsive.

Is that the bean that's been pre-processed by a cat? So long as the cat doesn't suffer, I don't have an issue with it.

The poor civets are exploited, in fact they suffer, because they "pass" the full beans simply because they cannot digest them. It's a shame and should be stopped.

@LadyDuck Then in that case, I'm not in favour of it.

That would be the one....something about that seems rather revolting.

I know how this coffee is "produced", it is very expensive, I have tried a cup and I cannot say that the taste justify the price. I still prefer a good cup of Jamaica Blue Mountain.

Something about the use of the civet, makes this coffee, very unappealing to me.

@Morleyhunt The beans are full and the outer side is removed before roasting the coffee.
