why the charity shop loves me

I have decluttered. I watched Zoolander - the first - and then went crazy in the spare room. A bookcase moved, two rubbish bins filled, some pretty, but alarmingly empty, storage boxes rediscovered and items unused stored inside them ... I was a very busy little bumble bee. There are now three boxes/bags full of odds and sods to be dropped off at the charity shop. In good news, this does mean that I have space to create yet more glorious clutter. I can visit the charity shops guilt-free, although not financially-free. I find these spurts of manic must-do something busy-ness to be frustrating. My fingers are itching to get stuck-in to the office now, get that sorted. There are drawers that need emptying, rubbish that needs binning, paper that must be shredded and a small chest of drawers which can be broken up and taken to the tip. Do I really need all these books? Why am I hanging on to that paper? So many Christmas bags which I keep forgetting to use. What is all that stuff on the desk?! *sigh*

I hadn't seen it before. Husband wants to see Zoolander 2 at the cinema this weekend, so it was agreed I ought to watch it. I enjoyed it.

We watched Zoolander this weekend too, getting prepared to watch the second one! I have heard it doesn't get as good reviews as the first! Sounds like your having a busy day!

They haven't got them yet! I do have an unfortunate tendency of just piling stuff up and not actually taking it anywhere!

Well, I've probably made it sound like a bigger job that it actually is. I do like to exaggerate. *grin*

Do not mention Christmas bags, old papers, unused items, now I feel guilty. I should go through my drawers and cabinets.

@Poppylicious This past Christmas, I have put all the unused Christmas cards, bags and small decorations inside a big box and I have put the box in the basement with a well visible sign "Christmas Stuff". I hope to remember before buying to look inside.

Sorry! I had to put a note in my calendar so that I get a reminder that I have already bought Christmas cards this year and they're in a particular place. This will be the year I find all the bits I put away in preparation!

It is always wise to clear clutter and it sounds like you are being successful with it. I wish to know where I should store my families luggage. I have a large backpack, a suitcase and two small suitcases, my son has two holdall bags and my daughter has a suitcase and two small backpacks.

I hate doing jobs like that, so it never gets done. Well done to you for doing it.

Does the charity shop give you anything for your efforts? Or is it all donations?
