Who Were/Are The Most Beautiful People In Cinema?

Today I was channel surfing and came across the 1966 classic "This Property is Condemned," starring Robert Redford and an almost painfully beautiful Natalie Wood.
About the only two movies I remember seeing Natalie Wood in are "Miracle on 34th Street," and "West Side Story."
"This Property is Condemned" is the screen version of the Tennessee Williams' play. The screenplay was written by Francis Ford Coppola. If you are familiar with the play, Natalie Wood portrays Alva. The story is set during the Depression.
But I'm not doing a review of the movie. Seeing Natalie Wood as she was in 1966, and she was heartbreakingly lovely in this movie, got me to thinking about who folks think were the most beautiful women and most handsome men of the silver screen were.
Natalie Wood definitely goes on my list after seeing her in "This Property is Condemned." Sophia Loren would be another.
As for men, I'm not much of one to judge men by their looks, but Robert Redford , so I'm told, makes most ladies lists of handsome actors.
I'm not asking who your favorites are as far as talent; I'm wondering who it is that sets your heart racing when you see them on the silver screen.

Sophia Loren and Audrey Hepburn have timeless beauty. I think Brad Pitt is handsome, there's one scene in the Benjamin Button movie that he looked so perfect.
I like the looks of Idris Elba, too.

@DWDavis Her face is really really pretty. I like that even as she aged, she never lost her beauty.

I think Paul Newman was stunning...maybe it was just those blue eyes.
I tend to gravitate toward to "golden age" movie stars, people like Gregory Peck, Cary Grant, and William Holden. I thought Michael Rennie was gorgeous in The Day the Earth Stood Still. And, when they were younger, I didn't think there were any better looking men in Hollywood than Al Pacino and James Caan. Sadly, age hasn't been kind to either of them.
As for women, Ingrid Bergman's entrance in Casablanca takes my breath away...and I say that as a heterosexual woman! She was beauty personified. I can't say I really enjoyed many of her movies, but Elizabeth Taylor was amazing with looks. And speaking of Casablanca, Bogey's darling Lauren Bacall has to be included on the list.

I am impressed by the Michael Rennie mention. He is basically a forgotten fine actor. I was never into Ingrid Bergman but Lauren Bacall... well, you do know how to whistle don't you?

@FourWalls Unfortunately I'm not Bogie! Can you believe Bacall was 19-year-old nervous wreck performing that scene? True.

I think a young Elizabeth Taylor was striking, your right Natalie Wood was gorgeous, I loved her in Splendor in the Grass. These days, Mark Harmon is a hunk in my eyes and Clint Eastwood in his younger days was my idea of gorgeous.

I forgot to mention Splendor in the Grass in an earlier response. Most definitely one of Natalie's best performances. Also not to be missed is Love with the Proper Stranger with Steve McQueen.

@DWDavis Check out Sophia's Oscar winning performance in Two Women. Not a glamorous role.

@JohnRoberts I'll look that one up. It sounds like a more challenging role than what she usually did.

I always have trouble remembering peoples names these days.I don't follow movies like I once did. I used to like Sandra Bullock a lot, and think I still do, but she has not been in many movies that I am into lately

The young Tony Curtis was indeed beautiful. When he was married to Janet Leigh, they were the most gorgeous couple in Hollywood.

Natalie Wood is my supreme favorite movie star/actress. All time numero uno since I was a boy. I wax forever on her but those interested in her other movies, must sees are Rebel Without a Cause, Inside Daisy Clover, The Searchers and Gypsy.
