For many years my family have had pots of some medical plants standing on a windowsill. Their Latin names are: Callisia fragrans, Aloe and Kalanchoe. They are depicted in the photo. Aloe and Kalanchoe are good to relief nose disorders or skin damages. Callisia fragrans is used to make a liqueur (tincture) which helps with digestion and joints problems. I think this medical treatment belongs to Homeopathy But we shouldn't forget that every plant and every medicine has its own contra-indications. I find plant treatment useful together with complex therapy. Do you have any medical plants at home? What do you think about the health benifit from such types of plants?

I have many aloe plants and I know their worth. But I never knew kalanchoe is a herb.I use it as an ornamental plant. It blooms each year and I have a full row of it. The flowers are red in colour

I have an aloe vera, chives, and basil. I think almost all plants have some healthy benefits but a few can be deadly. So, it is good to be sure before one ingests any plant. If in doubt, leave it out of your body. Be cautious, be sure!

I have Aloe vera too because I love mixing it to smoothies because it's slimy texture makes fruit shakes slippery on the straw. I am a homesteader so aside from vegetables I have herbal medicines like Hibiscus, Corriander, lemon grass ,Bittermelon,Chamomile and roses on my backyard.
