Hooray!!! I am retiring in three months. Yes, I signed my retirement papers yesterday with my employer.
I can't wait. I loved my job and working with children but I believe it is time for me to stop.
I am starting to get grumpy and impatient. Once you start getting that way it is definitely time to leave.
Besides being home more will make it possible for me to be here more writing and interacting. I truly look forward to joining the ranks of the retired.
I know there will be les money around here but I can manage.
PS: the bottom of my cross stitch was cut off. It says Retirement: twice as much husband, half as much money."

Congratulations on retiring soon! I have a long ways to go before I think about retiring.

@infatuatedbby It comes quicker than you will believe. One day you are young with babies and the next day your babies have babies and you are ready to retire.

I wanted retirement at age 20 @HazySue . I started working at age 11 in a restaurant, took care of 5 brothers and sisters and went to school. My entire life up to the age of 57 was sometimes working 2 jobs at a time and if it wasn't for my physical disability since then, I'd probably still be working at 64.

@nanette64 to tell the truth, my health is making me retire more than any other reason. But, even so, I intend to enjoy it.
