Surprise! It's Snowing

I just commented on someone's post about how warm it is here and the snow is melting. I've been out twice today with only a hoodie. However, I just took my son to work and as I opened the door, I changed my mind about the hoodie and put my winter jacket back on. It was snowing a steady fine snow. The flakes weren't big and fluffy. However, in the space of ten minutes, the time it takes to get my son to work and get back here, the flakes are much larger and they are coming down faster than they were when we left. Now I had heard there was a storm coming out of the Pacific Northwest and would hit the plain states and Midwest. To my surprise, because storms usually pass us by, it's snowing, and yes, I'm loving it. It also explains the headache I've had all day. So now I wonder how long this will last and what kind of accumulation we'll get and if it will even stick. It might not on sidewalks and roads as it has been warm for the last week. So, what's the weather like in your neighborhood? Do you have any surprises taking place? Oh, and the birds aren't chirping anymore either.
