What's the main ingredient used for cooking at your place?

Well I am at my kitchen counter planning to cook some veggies. But before cooking I need to grind out some ginger garlic as its the main cooking ingredient in pakistani cooking. What's the main ingredients used in your country,?

Most savory dishes always have garlic and onion. We eat almost every dish with rice, I guess that is an Asian thing.

@amnabas It depends on what you are cooking.If we are cooking chicken or other meat we use lot of ginger ,garlic or onion.But if it is vegetables,we do not.

We do not have a main ingredient, it depends what we are cooking, we use both garlic and onion and olive oil.
