This morning on Facebook a mom asked if it was okay to feed here baby baby food from a jar, refrigerators when her baby was done and to reheated later.
Other moms where telling her to toss it or why do you heat your baby food up? It's bad to feed your baby baby food from a jar with a spoon instead put it in a bowl.
Okay o must be the crazy mom of three kids. My youngest is 13 months old. I have heated, reheated, refrigerate, used the same jar of baby food for 48 hours for all of my kids. One there is no where on any jars that sat don't heat, don't reheat. They do say after ones please refrigerator for nor more then 2 to 3 days. Everything we eat has all kind of stuff on it baby food is no difference. Of course it's going to have bacteria on it or in it so does other food we big people eat everything.
Some moms are over the top. I guess it's because maybe they have the extra money to be able to wast what there baby food once there baby doesn't finish it or to put it in different blow yes let's wast a blow to us it wash it when your know your child is only going to take a few bites. It makes no difference at least to me from moving food from the jar to a blow wouldn't be the same as just putting the spoon in and out of the jar.
Just so silly but whatever.

I'm like you. I have a one-year-old and I just feed from the jar. I feed him, put it in the fridge, take it out to feed in, put it back, and I do it until it's empty, or for about two days. Having to put in a bowl means that you have that much more to do.

Yep the less dishes I have to do the better ans I can spend more times with the little ones. As long as there is no model it's good for those 48 hours.

I don't have any kids so I wouldn't know. I know I was watching a tv show showing one mom buying regular stuff and the other one wants to buy more expensive but doesn't necessarily mean more expensive is always better either.

Yes very true. More expensive doesn't mean better. I buy fairly cheap some things I'll buy the more expensive choice. If I don't have to spend the money for something more expensive then I won't ans if I need to I try to find the best way to get it for our buck, like Mac and cheese.

@ShyBear88 For me it depends on the product. Some items I buy fair/cheap - some expensive depends.

@infatuatedbby that is why we buy certain things more expensive and others not.

I think some people are over the top sometimes. I can't work out how putting the food into a bowl can be any better than taking it directly from the sterile jar! :/
I've reheated my kids food, I'm sure. I've left it in the fridge and given it later. As a nursery nurse, I understand that certain health stuff is there for a reason but I've also seen some ridiculous rules and advice.

Oh yes of its for a health reason very understand able. There hasn't even been a label that sakes don't heat, out in another container before eating or feeding baby, do not reheat after storage.

The only reason I didn't feed straight from the jar was because of the baby's saliva. It tends to break down the food. Some of them would probably freak knowing my middle daughter ate finger foods at the age most babies are on the more liquid like foods. There was a good reason though.

If your middle child could handle it the. That's okay. Every baby is different with what they can and can't handle. My 13 month eat mostly finger food for the most. He hasn't had ,unchanged baby food with him only being 2.5' years younger then his big brother the other two are always trying to give him finger food. He eats what I eat for the malt part plus nurses and has some whole milk on top.

I completely agree with you! I have heated all of my children's baby food and they are just fine. I am not rich and cannot afford to throw half a jar away! It is silly how some moms are, so paranoid it seems.
