Kids and Hair Cuts

I was thinking back when my oldest son was about 5 or 6 he played with a girl who lived a few doors away from us.
One day I was busy and they were playing in the house so I hadn't paid to much attention to them but then my son said momma look at us we don't need a hair cut now.
I gasped as I looked at the two of them they had found a pair of scissors and cut each others hair, needless to say there were gouges and they looked so funny.
I called the little girls mother and told her what happened and offered to pay for her daughter to have her hair cut by a professional but she said no these things happen.
Have your children ever did this?

No, my mother would have killed me if I had cut my hair or a friends hair. I did have something like this happen to me as a child. I was in class and the kid behind me cut my hair at the bottom of my hair clamp. It ended up with me having a hole in the middle of the back of my head. YIKES! My mother was ticked off.

haha too funny. I don't have children but I would have laughed too. I mean it's very sweet. They were being creative.
I did it when I was about 4 or 5 years old. It's all a bit vague. But all I remember is sneaking into the kitchen to grab scissors and then being caught after cutting my hair. But I don't actually remember cutting it. I cut it so badly that my mum had to take me to the hair dressers to get it cut but she cut it really short that I got bullied in school for looking like a boy. I am just wondering now if my parents asked the hair dresser to cut it like that deliberately so I learned a lesson to never do it again. I hope not because I didn't appreciate the bullying part.

It was funny afterwards but not at the time it happened. I was so glad the little girls mother took it the way she did. To bad yours had to be cut like a boys.

LOL My son did that with his sister's help. He cut the front and she cut the back-with my kitchen shears!!

Your son didn't want to wait for a haircut so he cut some of his hair and his sister cut the rest and with kitchen shears no less.

No, but I just decided to cut my hair once when I was about ten. I went into my mom's room where I knew there were scissors, closed the door and cut my hair.

Was nice she was understandable, don't think I ever did that, but I hear often of kids who do! lol

Yes, and so did I. My mother wasn't as understanding. I got a spanking for cutting my bangs the day before pictures were taken at school.
