I better learn how to properly care for them

As my aunt Morley and several other relatives clean out my grandparents home, things have been either finding their way to new homes or into the trash/donation/compost piles.
If you read some of Morley's posts, you will know that my grandmother had an abundance of house plants. African violets were plenty on a special shelving unit with lights in the dining room. 5 of these have made their way to my house.
They are still alive, but not yet thriving. I still need to learn how to properly take care of them. I also need to find an appropriate place for them to sit, as direct sunlight is not wise. So far one has released a fresh bloom. Will I see more? I sure hope so.

I hope you manage to keep them alive as it would be a nice remembrance of your grandmother. I have a black thumb so nothing grows in my house
