Many people believed that eating peanuts can result to acne vulgaris or commonly known as pimple. I do think it is a misnomer, since pimples can be a result of poor hygiene, runs in the family or hormonal imbalance. Elders also believed that eating these legumes will make you smart in class. That's also a misnomer to know, eating peanuts are not magical to acquire intelligent. It is all in the minds of people. However, peanuts have good effects as a brain booster with the help of Vitamin B3. This is what claimed in science concept, but there is no proven research that it can cause acne vulgaris or pimples.

I don't really think most of the claims about what causes pimples are true. When I was younger, it was eating too much chocolate or too many sweets that supposedly gave you spots. I cut down on those things and still had terrible acne. It was just because I was a teenager! As for peanuts, apart from the high fat content, they aren't too bad for us (unless you're allergic, of course). The same with other foods, they're OK in moderation.

@pumpkinjam It is definitely no truth about the real cause of pimples especially eating peanuts. But then, eating too much will cause high cholesterol in our body.

I had never heard that peanuts could cause pimples or acne. How strange that anyone would think that. I have heard that it is good as a brain booster with the help of Vitamin B3.
