I'm No Good At Writing!

I am just no good at writing essays anymore. I think it is mainly because this English class focuses on the oldest and most boring literature they could find and shove into this text book. I absolutely hate the old timey English because it is so hard for me to figure out what each sentence would mean in modern English! Also the lack interest in these stories/poems makes it difficult to put effort into thinking about them and writing about them.
Someone please tell the textbook makers these stories are boring as heck!

Our textbook is called the norton introduction to literature. It is mostly a ton of older pieces of literature that I just find so boring.

@IvySaysHi I had the same text book for one of my English classes. It isn't quite my cup of tea either.

What is the class you are taking and what poems do you have to read? I remember having to read some old poems in my poetry class, it wasn't easy, but I got through it.

Its is an english class and it is introduction to literature

@IvySaysHi Ah, that is why I am glad I had options what I took my classes. I ended up taking a poetry class, which wasn't too bad, but we did have to read some of the older stuff.

@Carmelanirel2 This class will involve poetry and in order to get a degree I have to English classes.
