Taking a 10 Day Break - I'll Be Back in Mid-March

This is just a head's up for all my friends here on MyLot to let you know that I will be taking a 10 day break from MyLot. I will be back by mid-March, but I wanted to let everyone know what's going on. First, during the next ten days, I will be spending time with three of our four daughters and their families, including five of our seven grandkids. The last thing I want to be doing during our precious time with them is sit on a computer ... at least not any more than I absolutely have to! I'm posting a photo of our local beach, because I know some of our grandkids will also be spending time outdoors over the next two weeks, when they can. Second, my husband and I are going to be the keynote speakers on World Kidney Day at the pharmaceutical company which makes the experimental medication that my husband has been using as part of a drug trial for the past five years. This drug has not only arrested the progression of his kidney disease and kept him off dialysis, but substantially improved his quality of life. Because my life is better when my husband feels better, the drug has had an impact on both of us. The pharmaceutical company wants us to give a joint speech to the scientists and employees at the company about how well he has done on this medication and how it has improved our family life. During other times during the week, we will also be meeting with small groups of researchers to discuss the impact of the drug on my husband. Since the drug is not yet on the market, I am not supposed to mention either the name of the drug nor the pharmaceutical company in print. One of these days, however, I hope that I can tell everyone more about it, because I truly believe it will save many lives. Meanwhile, I have already written my blog update for next week. I have also written and scheduled some of the news articles I write for TheDailyVoiceNews. com. I can't pre-schedule all of them, but I can schedule some of them, which I have done. The rest will probably get written late at night or early in the morning during the coming days. I have a commitment on that site and I do not want to let them down. As for everything else I do online, if it doesn't absolutely have to be done, it probably will not be. If I get a chance, I will respond to comments on my posts from time to time. However, that is about all I will be able to do ... and that will not be consistent. I just wanted to let all of my friends here on MyLot know that you will see me back here in mid-March. Until then, just know that I am having a great time, and I hope all of you are, too!
