Trump doesn't scare me...North Korea does

While the candidates make fools of themselves on stage there is a much bigger concern. A concern the whole world should share. That worry is Kim Jong-un. The man is more of a nut job than any politician.
While Trump says his hands, or anything else, are not a size problem.....we should be worrying about the size of the nuclear weapons that Kim says he'll use on the world. He really just wants to wipe out the US, but he'll probably take out as many countries as possible.
Does North Korea really have the capability? Unfortunately, there is only one real way to find out. He says they do and since he takes the crazy award maybe we should be praying he drops dead instead of hoping Trump gets his just rewards.

@AbbyGreenhill It is at times like this that we begin to understand why assassinations take place.

Now that the Chinese are taking a much harder stance against NK, I think their chances of developing the technology have taken a huge step backward. The Chinese know their best hope is to increase world trade and trade with the US, not go to war over a cult disguised as a nation like NK.

When I hear what Donald Trump says on the news, I cannot help but to think that he's got control issues and I wouldn't imagine that he'd be a very effective or fair leader. I don't think that Kim's ways are the best but I do fail to see any good from how DT conducts himself and as a neighbour I would fear relations should he be voted in. He did say that he'll build a fence along our border, so that says a lot right there.

@AbbyGreenhill I wonder if having someone like him at the helm wouldn't provoke somelike like Kim because he really has no filter and says what he likes to.

He says a lot and changes what he says daily. I'm still more concerned about being blown up by Kim.

I believe at most NK has a small handful of nuclear weapons and limited means to deploy them. Their most recent claim to have tested an H-Bomb turned out to be a fabrication. All NK's recent saber rattling has done is annoy the Chinese who have now voted in the Security Council for more severe sanctions.
While Kim is a real threat, I don't think he would risk his own guaranteed annihilation, and that of his nations leadership, by openly attacking the US. What he wants most is to be taken seriously by the "big" countries, even though he runs a starving country void of human rights and a future.

@AbbyGreenhill From what I've read of him, he is not the lunatic some people write him off as. He's also surrounded by military professionals who aren't necessarily as enthralled with him as the general population and they do understand the reality of their situation.

I have become absolutely disgusted by what the debates have become, and although not a Trump fan by any means, I think he is the one guy who will have no problem standing up to North Korea. And on the flip side, I don't think North Korea has as much capability as they say they do. It's a bluff, a game they like to play with us. Yes, they do have a few nuclear weapons, but they would most likely use them on South Korea than on the US. It reminds me of the Cold War with the USSR, where we got in a nuclear arms race. They built thousands of nuclear missiles. We built thousands of nuclear missiles. After the Soviet Union collapsed, we learned that in reality they only had several hundred nuclear missiles, the rest were dummy warheads.

He gets to strike first but he will the entire country in the end. The good outcome of that is the surviving north koreans will be free and that prison camp will be exposed for good! But right now, I don't think he can do it, otherwise, he could have done it already

I was just thinking the other day, that while America is all caught up in this crazy election cycle and all the talk is about the debates and how Romney will try to keep Trump from the nomination, that one of those evil people like Kim Jong Un, Iran or nutty people here that pledge allegiance to ISIS, could nuke a major city like New York City or LA or any other city and set this whole nation in turmoil.

Can anyone deal with a crazy man like Kim Jong-un? Who can trust Kim to keep his end of the bargain? What can one do about it? If you take out this guy maybe the next guy will be worse. I think you are right, praying the answer.

I totally agree. Even though we don't know if they really have this nuclear weapons, this is still a threat not only for the US but also for other countries, and this should be a huge concern for all of us.
