This is my first attempt at making jam with star fruits. Star fruits have a strong aroma. As I was making this jam the whole house was filled with its aroma. I am happy with the results. The jam tastes good and has a natural sheen. It made my day.

I love the photos. I hope you really enjoy the jam. My favourite jams are either blackberry or plum.

I know there are great jams. This was an experiment with a fruit that is normally not used.

Star fruit is very rare here and I am sure this jam would taste delicious as the fruit. I bought grape jam today at the store lol.

If the fruit is fully ripe the sourness goes but not fully though. Cooking and the sugar reduces the sourness to a great extent. You can use it as an ingredient for salads and other dishes.

This fruit grows only in certain parts of the world but they are marketed everywhere. If you search the net you will find some place where they sell in your area

I'll try making a star fruit jam, my neighbor has plenty of star fruit and I want to try it. Does it taste good? Do we have to slice the fruit or not.

They should be fully ripe as you see in this image. You should remove the ridges and chop the fruit fine.

@MGjhaud Jam is slightly sour. It could be used besides as a sandwich spread in salads and some Chinese recipes.

I have done it for the first time. all these years the fruits were wasted or eaten by birds.

Well done! Did you have a recipe for the jam? Often they take a lot of sugar. Did this one?
