I am too curious to know the formula about ladies first in your country? Do you follow this etiquette at your place by respecting ladies? Well in my country ladies are respected and the men do follow the ladies first formula but in rural areas the women are still not respected and given first priority.

Well mannered gentlemen open the door and let the lady go first, young people respect nobody and nothing.

That's the sad thing. Some countries don't respect women based on their culture. I had lived with them and the culture is too strong.

@cacay1 I think women in our country is empowered and they can decide for themselves. Unlike in other countries, they are still need to be educated on gender equality.

No, that was not observed here in our place anymore. Example, when a pregnant woman ride on a bus and the bus is full of passengers but the woman insisted that she will stand, no male passenger has offered her a seat, maybe there are some but mostly because they told me one time, they are also giving fares to the bus so no exception, first come first serve basis.

My husband, sons, and male family members do. They were brought up well. Many men, and women, do not have manners, nor do they respect their elders. It's such a shame.

Respect for women is a byword here. I've seen so little of it, it's pathetic. It would be nice for people to turn back the clock on respect and see it more prevalent than what it currently is.
