I dislocated my breast bone in 1978 and that started a long history of chest pain. Finally, in 1998, I convinced my doctor that I really couldn't tolerate carting around "DD" cups on my sore chest, so he sent me to a plastic surgeon to see if he could "justify" to insurance for reduction. I go to this doctor, now, this doctor was tiny - I mean, I'm only about 5' tall, I might get close to 5'2 in shoes, but this fellow was short than I was. And he was older. These days I don't see a lot of doctors who are older than I was, but even then they were mostly contemporaries.... But I liked him. As I was to discover, the nurses liked him too. He examined me, explained what needed to happen and sent me on my way. to be continued...

A little doctor. But big at what he does. Cant wait to hear the rest now El. So sorry to hear of your injury and if I could get mine cut off I mean all of them I would.

I was trying to carry boxes of punch cards up a flight of stairs because the elevator was out. I should've just carried them up one or two boxes at a time, but I was being lazy...

I do not like the idea of needing to justify to some uninvolved insurance company how I would likt to get rid of my pain.

That's the fact of insurance companies, have to justify something that could be considered "cosmetic" surgery.
