Useful , After All

Lately , I find the old IPad, my daughter handed down to me , useful . When she first gave it to me , I seldom use it because it’s slow at FB . Or maybe because there’s so much traffic at FB whenever I go to it . However , when myLot turned mobile friendly , I find it so convenient to use even when I am already lying down in bed . I also uploaded a local app , IWantTv . Now , I can watch at anytime , the soaps I was not able to watch because I am at the office still . I can choose to watch them on weekends wherein the 5 episodes for that week, I can watch at the comfort of our bed . So useful that’s how it is now , in addition to my phone .

Though , I still cannot understand some symbols it would show while I am watching a show from my IPad .

How about you , what’s your useful gadget ?

I don't have any useful gadget except for my laptop which I use for my online jobs.

@rina110383 Oh , so it's me ! But , i am not that techie to know how it operates well . I forgot some simple things that my daughter told me , when she handed it down to me .

I always would bring it at the office to ask our IT how to go about the iPad and they too doesn't know well how , because theirs isn't an iPad.

Lovely ipad handed down by your daughter. You're a rich gadget lady. I don't own an ipad. I use my laptop or phone to browse the internet.

Oh no . I am not rich .

Actually that's the oldest style of iPad . Funny that parents have the hand me downs , but the children have the new ones .

But then , she needs the new iPad mini for her Medical studies . It's bought through her savings and a cash gift from her grandmother who retired at the US and will be coming home for good soon .

@Ladypeace She is already graduating on May 22 , so we are saving money for that occasion since we will be going to travel to Manila where she is now on her internship at the hospital where she is a scholar.

As to her grandma , she will be going home once the house will be finally bought .

my phone, i use it all day all night.

i use it for movie marathon, gaming, scanning documents, taking pictures, editing images, diary entries, and so many more. its becoming my bestfriend now adays. its easy and much lighter to carry around the house compared to other gadgets i have.

Before when i haven't discovered much the usefulness of the old iPad , i would also use my smartphone for FB , researching , watching movies etc. However , i like a bigger screen that's why this iPad is now ideal.

My laptop is my most useful gadget. I have a tablet which I got free when I bought my laptop but I am not used to it so it is just an excess gadget in my home.

I am currently using an iPad mini 2. This one is very useful since I use it to browse the internet, I also have iWant tv here since I am still working during the time slot of my favorite soap operas. I also use this as an ebook reader. All the books of my students are stored here so it's easier for me to access everything.

@SIMPLYD I work from 2 in the afternoon until 9 in the evening so I really can't watch TV shows shown on primetime, so I watch them all on iWant tv.

That 's what we bought for our daughter , iPad mini 2 . So she gave this old one to me .

So , what are the soaps you watch there . I watch And I Love You So and the new one We Will Survive . With this gadgets everything seems to be now so convenient .

Hi rebel. Recently I got a tablet and then another one. I still use my laptop for myLot mostly, but the tablets have opened up a whole new world for me. I can watch any tv or movie on it while i am also doing other things on laptop. It is crazy lolz

So much stuffs and so much to do..I am still learning too.

I only use the netbook if i will be posting because i can attach picture . This IPad doesn't have camera or ports because it's the very first version . But that's okay . We learn as we go along .

the most useful gadget i've got 'round here's a wheel barrow, lol. i'm glad that'cha made friends with yer ipad. aint real sure what such is nor how it functions. i fear i don't embrace technology like many folks.

I have had my iPad for neRly two years. I use it daily. The laptop only comes out when I can't access the needed site through my iPad.

I use laptop at the office and a netbook at home , when i will be submitting a post here . By the way , do you know what that sign like a round arrow pointing down and with a padlock at the center . That appears whenever i am watching at my iPad . I guess it means to lock the position of the iPad we are currently engaging in , how to watch it ?

my useful gadgets is my tab and from it i can do anything at anytime like computer and though its old and slow but i ma very happy with it and not going to sell it because its my first gadgets which i purchase and its still working after 4 years as other same gadgets just work for one year....

Good that you've found the good use of the old ipad. I bought a tablet when I was still with Bubblews, as I think it's easier for me to read and write. But, I still prefer to use my desktop or laptop to write, as it's so much easier. I do use the tablet once in a while, it is useful when I want to search for something, and not turning on the computer. It takes too long for me to turn on the computers, as they are quite old.

That's how i am too . When i write a post i will use my netbook at home . But if simply interacting , i prefer the iPad now , because of the reason you mentioned about not having to turn on the computer which takes a while indeed.

Remember my PC got broken few months ago and My android and my Ipad are the one that lets help me ease my internet needs. Imagine how hard it is for me to do Mylot before it became mobile friendly.

I love using my tablets when I feel lazy and I just to lie on my bed.
